When I found Camilla I had had a bad period for a long time. I had been in a bad mood and dissatisfied with myself and my body. I had put on a lot of weight and felt like my eating was completely out of control. I was emotional eating, completely given up on living healthy and being active, had completely lost faith that it was possible to lose weight and was afraid that I would only get heavier and heavier. And over the past couple of years, I've had far too many such "bad" periods.
I'm very skeptical by nature, and to be honest I wasn't sure if it was believing in Santa Claus that something like Camillas approach could help... Maybe it’s because I had some beliefs in relation to the possibilities of changing myself without deep psychoanalysis and that I thought my body was working against me when trying to lose weight.
I was also afraid of wasting both time and money. I knew nothing about Camilla beyond what I had seen online. And it could be that she was just a very good marketer :)
When I started working with Camilla, I quickly felt that I got a better grip on the eating. I made some small adjustments and used what I learned to manage my sweet tooth and evening cravings. I think it worked well. Also when I got covid and then injured my back during this process and I had to be more inactive, the needs and experienced challenges changed a lot during this process. BUT: The big difference then compared to other periods in the past, was that I experienced that I now have tools that work, as well as an awareness that means I don't slip. For example: If I allow myself something sweet or eat something not planned for, I manage to catch myself and not freak out completely calling it a “bad day”.
To me, food and weight have not become my main focus throughout the program. On the other hand, I have gained a completely different focus on the fact that the goal is simply to feel good and be happy. Find peace and contentment. Even if I weigh a few pounds too much, have a backache or other things in life are not quite perfect all the time. And it has worked - I find that I am generally fine and when something goes wrong and I encounter adversity, I manage to avoid the downs being deep and long. I am incredibly grateful for that!
I am much happier and more satisfied. More relaxed and less concerned that everything must be in order. My husband says that he senses it very well.
I plan my working weeks so that I have time and space to recover, focus on myself and my own well-being, time to reflect on what is most important to me.
I have greatly benefited from the program and for me it has been worth every minute of my time and every penny. Camilla has a solid and good program which, at least for me, was spot on. She is a skilled and serious person who was genuinely interested in helping and supporting me throughout the period and who went far beyond what we had agreed upon. It requires an effort from yourself that you have to be willing to put in, otherwise you might as well not do it.
Working with Camilla has given me a completely new perspective on my life and simply left me a happier person. The mindset I've learned and the tools I've been given help me to live my life in a better way than before. Camilla is thoroughly serious, has a solid plan and is genuinely interested in making a difference. She helped and supported me all the way. I am deeply committed to myself to take this with me for the rest of my life - and Camilla has given me the faith that I will be able to do that.
